Athlete, He Teaches Us
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:26
Have you ever read your Bible and felt like something just jumped off the page for you? Maybe it was even a passage you have read multiple times and were pretty familiar with. But this particular time something stood out.
Or have you ever read something in God's word that spoke directly into something you were currently experiencing in life?
Moments like these usually come from the Holy Spirit. That's part of His role in our lives. He is our teacher. Anytime time something just clicks for you, or you have an "ah-ha" moment, or you experience a deep convication, it's probably the Spirit trying to tell you something. Teachers can't help teaching!
Challenge: Before you open your Bible the rest of this week, start with a short prayer that goes something like this: "Holy Spirit would you help me to understand what I am about to read. If there is something you are trying to say to me or reveal about yourself, please make it clear from my time in the Word today."
