Athlete, Be Bold

We live in a very interesting time in the history of the world. Never has there been so much technology to constantly keep us connected "all the time." Think about the hours per day you spend texting and interacting on social media.

At the same time, people feel more lonely and less connected to any real relationships. Seems confusing right?

Scripture is very clear and consistent in showing that God's design was never for us to go through life alone.

"Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble."
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken."
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭

Not only do your teammates need you, but you need them to be the best you.

Other Truths to dwell on:
Hebrews 10:24,25
Genesis 2:18

Application: The weekend is coming and if it hasn't already started, you will be asked to (fill in the blank).

Pray. Be Bold. Lead or set the tone by inviting someone to invest their time and life into more than a drink, more than a party, more than a visit to the club, more than a late night visit his or her house. Or it may be something else.

Live for more. Live for more than yourself.
