Athlete, He Does More Than Save
Eph. 1:3-6
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved."
Adoption into God's family! Just think about that for a moment. God saves and then goes above and beyond by adopting us into His family. He could have "just" saved us from our sins and gave us eternal life, stopping at that miraculous gift. But He does so much more. He changes us while we are still on earth making us more like Jesus. He sanctifies us. But that is not all, He calls us His children.
He adopts us into His family! This is His perfect will for us, that we would be in His family. That His perfect Son, Jesus, would make a way for us to be adopted and call Him Father. It is His perfect love for us that leads Him to give us this gift of adoption.
Take time today to show your love for Him.
