Athlete, Know Your Weakness

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made in perfect weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties, For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Dang. WOW. That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I read those verses but also the thought who in their right mind wants to be happy when they are weak? Read that verse again.

Did you read it?

This verse comes from a passage written by God's apostle Paul. Paul was explaining how there was a thorn in his side in which he didn't know why it was there. He pleaded with the Lord to take it from him but verse 9 was God's response back. In life and especially athletics, weakness isn't always the easiest thing to show. But it's important because if we can't identify weaknesses we are unable to get better.

So the questions to reflect upon today is what are my weaknesses and where in my life do I experience weakness?
