Athlete, You Are Kept
"Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ" Jude 1:1
"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy" Jude 1:24
If you were competing for a team and your position was insecure, how would you truly perform on the field?
The uncertainty of your position on the team would likely leave you anxious, hesitant, afraid of failure and prevent you from competing at your full potential.
Jude knew this reality. He begins and ends his letter reminding these early Christians that their position on God's team is secure. They are called by God, loved by God, and kept by God because of their faith in Jesus.
In Christ, you are kept. You can live in freedom knowing that you will not be cut from the team. Let that sink in. You can contend for the faith knowing that you are kept and your position is secure. Live out of that freedom today.
