Athlete, Have An Outward Focus

"And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 1:22-25

Throughout this letter Jude challenges us to consider how to contend for the faith by strengthening our walks with God. But to only contend for the faith inwardly is selfish. As Christ followers we are called to maintain an outward focus in our lives as well.

For many, sharing the gospel with someone who does not believe is the scariest component of contending for the faith, and that is okay.

Jude reminds us that it is God who keeps us, sustains us and takes great joy in us regardless of the outcome. Allow that security to motivate you to share the love of Christ with others.
