Athlete, Do Not Be Stupid
"Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid."
Proverbs 12:1
Yep. The Bible just said if you hate correction you are stupid. Does it get any more blunt than that? It doesn't take a seasoned pastor to figure this verse out.
Athlete, listen to the people around you who are helping you get better, both on and off the field. You're fleshly tendency will be to push against the correction. But don't be stupid. Humble yourself, heed the advice, and grow as an athlete and a child of God.
